Lake Shima & Nakanojo Dam
四万湖・中之条ダム
A small turquoise lake held back by Nakanojo Dam, on the road up to Shima Onsen. Paddle across still water ringed by forest, then look down from the dam at the clear blue pool below its curved spillway.
Local tip: Book a canoe or SUP tour on the lake. Afterwards, walk the quiet path along the shore through cedar woods.
